For this project we were asked to reinvision a failing mall in Carlsbad, CA. We used the site’s proximity to nearby Buena Vista Lagoon, a 223-acre wetland preserve in North San Diego County to imagine a space where higher-density living combined with access to public transit, retail, and green space to create a novel living environment centered around a 10-acre nature preserve. I was mainly responsible for the design, layout, typography, and site plan.
