Bring Your Own Brigade, directed by Lucy Walker, examines the causes and consequences of the growing wildfire problem in the western United States through the lens of two simultaneous fires in California: The Camp Fire and The Woolsey fire. The film premiered at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival and is available on Paramount Plus. Bring Your Own Brigade was named to the New York Times Best Movies of 2021 list.
The Human Face of Big Data is a feature documentary I edited in 2015. Directed by Sandy Smolan, it explores the possibilities, both good and bad, of the many applications of current data-science. Pathways, directed by Florencia Krochik, follows the lives of four undocumented youths from around the world as they try to get educated and make it in American society. The project was one of only 16 selected from 370 entries for the $25,000 Women In Film Finishing Fund Grant. The film will be distributed in 2023
I was an additional editor on Lucy Walker's follow-up to Wim Wender's Oscar winning 1999 film Buena Vista Social Club. The film takes us on another incredible Cuban journey with some very talented musicians and big personalities.
